WHAT'S NEW?

• We are two thirds of the way through our read aloud, The BFG, by Roald Dahl, and the children are hooked! Each chapter leaves the children on the edge of their seats!

Orphan Sophie was snatched from her bed by the BFG and taken far away to Giant Country. She and the BFG are becoming fast friends, and are now trying to save the children of London from the giants that are not so nice!
Will their plan work? Stay tuned to find out! I highly recommend this book as a read aloud. It is one of the children's favorites!

• We wrapped up our story on blue whales with a crayon-resist watercolor art project. Each student came up with a different fact about these amazing creatures, for a whopping total of twenty! Look for our display which will soon be in the reading room hallway. I will be adding pictures to our blog as well!
